9:05 AM So far the yard sale has netted $.75. (Gross and net are considered equal because expenses are zero)
10:03 AM The sale has now netted a staggering $6.50. We attribute the surge in traffic to a large plywood sign placed next to Highway 6.
At 10:19 an emergency call was made to exchange large bills for smaller ones to keep things flowing. Now, at 10: 45, the net sales are at $23.00
We are sad to report that the yard sale was not the smashing success we were anticipating. It netted about 80 dollars, and after packing back up it seemed to take just as many boxes as before. We may try it again on a warmer summer day.
